Welcome to The World of Harry Potter. This section is designed for discussing Harry Potter to your hearts content - but please try to observe the following rules.
1. This section is not for arguing. While a healthy debate is always appreciated - being rude to other people or their opinions will not be tolerated. Harry Potter and fanfiction have a way of dipping their toes into many sensative topics from racism to sexuality and, while discussion of these topics in as much as they relate directly to Harry Potter is OK, taking it outside of the context of Harry Potter is not allowed. There are many places on the web for discussing these things with your peers - this is not one of them.
2. Stay on topic. It's easy for one thought to lead to another but, when that happens, start a new thread and redirect people to it.
3. No spam! Please look around and check throroughly before creating a new topic. You'll find that it probably already exists. Stay on the topic at hand - don't argue over ships in a topic about Peter Pettigrew. Also, please make sure your topic is of value for discussion with other users. Threads that are considered pointless or just silly will be removed.
4. Place your topics in the right section. An area has been created that is just for polls. If you would like to create a poll, place it there (after checking to make sure it doesn't already exist!)
5. No site bashing. While it's easy to get frustrated after that third rejection letter, this is not the place for complaining about it - remember, no matter how angry with a site you are, their staff works very hard to make sure that the site stays up to par (wherever they may set their par) and they're not just trying to be mean to you. Let's try to keep the pitchforks in the barn.
6. This forum is rated 12+. No swearing, or discussing content of a nature that exceeds the 12+ rating.
7. Coherent Topic Titles! Please ensure that the specific theme of your topic is conveyed in your title. (i.e., "Is Snape Good or Evil?" not "Snape" or "Daniel Radcliffe not Doing GOF!: not "OMG! No Way!"
