This is a reminder to all members to be careful with your private information.
We strive to maintain a family-friendly site and a welcoming atmosphere. Another of our top goals is the safety of our users, not only navigating our own site but the Internet as a whole.
We do not give out the personal information of our users to anyone under any circumstances. Please do not give personal information to anyone requesting it of you. Rule number two of our forum guidelines states:
2.) Do not give out any personal information, such as addresses and telephone numbers. It should also be extended to the site as a whole. Though we would like to think that everyone’s intentions are good and honest, we cannot assume that anyone’s motives are pure when they post topics or send emails asking users for their telephone numbers, addresses, pictures, or for any other reason. There are an alarming number of people who use the Internet as a means to prey on others, and as many of the users of our site are minors, we can not and will not tolerate this.
So please be aware, should anyone send you an email, post a review to your story, submit a topic in the forums asking you to give them a call and send them a letter, money, a picture, or whatever it may be, please, report it to a member of the staff immediately.
As stated in the rules of the site, anyone asking for or giving personal information will be banned from the site.
If you are approached by a forum member in any way that makes you feel uncomfortable, please PM a staff member straight away.
