Editing your profile may seem like a scary task, but it's actually quite simple. Below is a guide to aid you in efficiently setting up your profile:
Username: This field is not changable.
Password & Password (again): These should be used if you wish to change your password at any time.
Email Address: This should be your actual email address. The moderators will notice if you enter a false email.
Display Name: This is the name that will appear next to all of your posts on the forum.
Gender: Evidently, you must select male or female.
MP BackGround: If you notice on the left side of this post, there is a small pane with my profile picture and information. My background is set to reflect the Ravenclaw House colors. Please fill this field with one of the following links (depending upon your house):

Hide Gender: You can choose to select "yes" or "no" for this option.
Location: Enter a location. You do not need to enter your legitimate location if you feel uncomfortable doing so. For example, my location is listed as "Hogwarts."
Alignment: This drop down menu allows you to select your blood-status. For example: MudBlood, HalfBlood, or PureBlood. Your blood status will appear next to all of your posts.
Website Name & Website URL: These should be fairly self-explanatory. If you have a website, type the name and add the URL.
Avatar: Do NOT select anything from the drop down menu. Just leave it on its default setting.
Avatar Uploader: This is not yet in working order, and does not currently work. Please refrain from "uploading" your profile picture here. Just ignore this field.
Avatar URL: This will be where you select your profile picture. If you want a picture of Hermione, for example, go to Google Images. Type in "Hermione" and click on the picture you would like as your profile. Then, right click on the photo and click "Copy image address." Then, paste that into this field.
Avatar Width & Avatar Height: Leave these two options alone, unless you are confident you understand image proportions. Tampering with them might distort your profile picture.
Personal Text: You may include anything you wish in this box. The text you add will be displayed next to all of your posts. For example, I entered "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure" on my profile.
Signature: You can use this field to customize your signature by including text or pictures. If you wish to include a picture in your signature, copy and paste this portion of code into the signature box:
Replace the words "INSERT IMAGE URL HERE" with the link to your image.
Friends: Here, you can add the usernames of any of your friends that have accounts on the forum. The directions on the right hand side are fairly simple.
User Notes: Use this area to add any personal notes to your profile. These will not be viewable by other members.
Online & Offline: In these boxes, include a personal message for when you are either logged into the forum or not logged into the forum. If you leave these fields blank, it will just state, "_______ is online" or "_______ is offline."
AIM, IQU, YIM, & MSN: You can add your personal account information to any of these fields.
The remaining portion of your profile should be fairly simple and straightforward. Any questions you may have regarding modifying your profile, and modifying your profile ONLY may be posted below.
